Airlines let you carry 23–30 kg. But a student moving to the US needs kitchen utensils, bedding, winter wear, a rice cooker, ready-to-eat mixes, spices, cultural items — easily 50–80 kg. We ship the extras as excess baggage via unaccompanied air or sea cargo.

Excess baggage uses a special unaccompanied-baggage (UB) declaration that lets you ship used personal items duty-free (or at reduced duty) — the courier rate is also typically 20–30% cheaper than standard parcel. Ideal for 20 kg+ shipments.
For students and relocating individuals, most countries allow 'unaccompanied personal effects' duty-free within 6 months of your arrival. You'll need to submit a UB form at destination customs. We provide all the paperwork.
We provide packing service on pickup — corrugated boxes, bubble wrap for fragile items, strapping, moisture-proof inner liner. Each box is labelled with contents, weight, sender/recipient info.
Air freight: 5–14 days, more expensive (₹1,800–2,900/kg), ideal for 20–80 kg. Sea freight: 25–45 days, 40–60% cheaper, ideal for 100 kg+ or full household. For students arriving soon, air; for families relocating with long runway, sea.
Both. Most students pre-ship 1–2 weeks before flying so boxes arrive around the same time. NRIs sometimes ship after arriving, once they know their local address. Tell us your travel plan and we'll time the dispatch accordingly.
Standard carrier liability is limited. For baggage worth ₹50,000+, we strongly recommend declared-value insurance — 1–2% of value covers full loss/damage. Especially important for electronics, kitchenware and cultural items.
