Like Australia, New Zealand operates one of the strictest biosecurity regimes in the world, managed by MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries). NZ's unique island ecosystem means fresh food, dairy, meat, eggs, seeds, raw nuts, plants, untreated wood and soil-traced items are banned — no exceptions. Inspections are thorough; non-declared biosecurity items attract fines from NZD $400 and full destruction of the consignment.
We prepare every consignment with a clean commercial invoice, KYC, recipient phone, biosecurity declaration and contents photos so MPI can clear it in 2–3 days at the port of entry (typically Auckland AKL or Christchurch CHC).

Yes — but only factory-sealed dry sweets with English ingredient labels. Laddoo, barfi, kaju katli, namkeen from registered brands (Haldiram, Bikanervala, etc.) clear MPI. Homemade sweets are routinely seized as MPI cannot verify ingredients. No fresh dairy (rasgulla, paneer, mawa-based items absolutely banned). MPI bans fresh fruits including mango.
Yes for ayurvedic / homeopathy tablets only in small personal-use quantities (3-month supply max). For allopathic prescription drugs, recipient may need their NZ doctor's prescription at delivery. Absolutely no liquid syrups, no Ayurvedic oils, no narcotics, no controlled drugs. We attach the original Indian Rx with the consignment.

MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries) inspects every consignment for: fresh food residue, plant material, soil traces, untreated wood, animal products, prohibited seeds and live insects. X-ray plus physical inspection on suspect parcels. Declaring everything correctly speeds clearance to 2–3 days; under-declaration triggers full unpack, fines and possible destruction.
