China regulates imported print material strictly. Materials with religious content (Bibles, Quran, religious tracts), political content critical of the CPC, Falun Gong references, Taiwan / Tibet / Xinjiang activist content, or maps showing disputed borders (including Arunachal Pradesh) are routinely seized. For ordinary academic books, novels, and non-political print, clearance is straightforward.

We declare on the commercial invoice, code by HS, and mark 'samples of no commercial value' where genuinely applicable (small quantity, marked or defaced samples).
